I'm a tech worker, home chef, brewer, and artist who graduated from a small, public college with an interdisciplinary version of CS & Graphic Design. The lobes of my brain are co-dominant and I usually find it funny when folks think art and science are on opposite sides of the spectrum.
I'm and inside out and outside in, Topsy Turvy, introverted, go with the flow (unless I have a strong need or opinion, then I use my words) type of person who is sort of figuring out things as I go along--just like everyone else.
I have a variety of invisible health issues, which can be funny, bothersome, or outright tragic at times. I call these "HEADBADGERS" generally, although, there are a few other weaselly cousins, scary archetypes, and a rage-a-saurus or two rattling about inside my head when they are disturbed (these latter I call HEADFAUNA).
My HEADBADGERS/HEADFAUNA need to be managed on a daily basis. I have a treatment team, whose members are curious and scholars and very good at what they do. My pill box is impressive. My diet somewhat restrictive. The care and feeding documentation and medical directives are lengthy and extensive.
And living with and having these things isn't easy.
Sometimes, what I have to write is funny. Sometimes, what I have to write is terribly sad. Sometimes, what I have to write will not make sense at all. It just sort of depends upon what is happening inside of me as I interact with the world outside of me.
